I just uploaded my February Favorites video onto my channel and I’m o excited to share it with y’all! This month was pretty chill, not a lot happened, but there is a very surprising fav thrown in there, so have fun with that. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and as always I’d love to hear from you!
This is slightly overdue (sorry about that) but I want to share with you my morning, and nighttime, skincare routines! This winter my skin hasn’t been very cooperative; maybe it has been stress or just the dry weather, I don’t know.
I’d tried new products, went to my dermatologist, but none of it helped. Finally I realized my skin was so dry and oily (the WOREST pair) because I was washing my face at night. I have no clue why, I just went with it.
After having that revelation my skin cleared up dramatically! Since I started this routine my spots have cleared up and my oily/dry patches have been subdued (FINALLY!). So, here are the products that I use! Enjoy 🙂
Night Routine
1. Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes in Grapefruit:Â I love, love, love these wipes! First off, they smell amazing, secondly, they are acne fighting, thirdly, they remove makeup and cleanse at the same time! No need to wash your face with these bad boys! I get mine at Target so they are the’ Compare To’ kind but I’m sure there aren’t a lot of differences.
2. Clinique Dramatically Moisturizing Gel Lotion:Â This product I use both morning and night. I really like this moisturizer because it almost immediately sinks into your skin while cooling it. I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers but this one has to be my favorite! It is on the more expensive side so if you’re looking for a similar product I would just try to find any kind of gel lotion. They should have similar properties to this one.
3. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Spot Treatment: On to my acne. I always use this at night and very occasionally in the mornings. This is the second time buying this product and I’m not prepared to give it up! I like it because it treats only problem areas, which means you’re not going to have dry skin just because of a few pimples! It smells very strong, but it definitely worked for me! Give it some time as well, this product isn’t as strong as other acne spot treatments but within a couple of weeks you should see some improvement!
Morning Routine
1. All Natural Honey:Â Yes, honey. I read on a couple of sites that it helps to restore moisture as well as brighten your complexion! All I do is apply a glob of it on my damp face like a facial mask. I don’t rub it in as much as just slather it on. Then I was with warm water, and then a little bit of cold water to close up your pores (learned that from a friend!).
2. Moisturize! I then use my moisturizer again and start to get ready for the day!
Now, we all go through times of insecurities. Maybe your eyebrows are crooked and now you can’t stop looking at them? Or you’ve just found another pimple? Maybe you were just turned down for an interview, a job, or a date?
All of these things hurt us in different ways. To some they mean nothing, while to others they hurt like hell and create a lot of self doubt.
I always like to dress up when I’m feeling down. The only way to feel sexy is to look sexy, right? But sometimes it’s bigger than that. Sometimes that feeling just doesn’t go away and we feel more and more self-concious or inadequate.
I get it. I’ve been there many times. But you can’t let those negative feelings hold you down. That’s the opposite of progress guys, that’s not what we want right now. We want to kick those feelings in the ass! Make them our bitches (so to speak). You don’t deserve to feel bad about yourself, none of us do! We’re AMAZING!
Now that I’ve got you guys riled up with all those swear words, let’s move onto solving this problem.
I usually peruse the internet hunting for that one awesome article that will tell me how to feel better, and it usually works. This time I found an especially great one that I want to share with all of you!
Can you believe that all of that was leading up to a video?! Well, it was! Watch my video to see the 15 things that you can do to reconnect with yourself, and stay updated to see photos of me doing those exact things!
Also, if you EVER need anyone to talk to, I’m here to listen, advise, deliver revenge, etc, etc.
My friend Walker and I were at Target (bless that place) one night when we decided to do a Youtube challenge that we possibly made up? I’m not going to go on record for that. This is what happened.
We bought 11 different foods; some were tasty chocolates, some were possibly good candies, and others consisted of string cheese and Berry Oreos!
Sounds fun, right? Yeah, it was 🙂 Rules to the game are BELOW!
THE RULES:
We formulated 11 questions to ask to one another about ourselves.( It’s like proving we know each other!)
If the person who receives the question gets it wrong, the person who asked the question gets to choose what gross thing the first person will have to eat.
If the person who receives the question gets it right (which we mostly did), then that person gets to choose what they are going to eat.
If that seems confusing, just watch the video and it will be all cleared up! Please comment below if you decide to do something like this with your friend or loved one! It’s really entertaining and I’d love to hear about it!
I just uploaded my latest video, Disappointing Products #1! So if you want to know what products I didn’t like then this is the video for you.
I also have products that I never used, or that I’ve very lightly used, because I got them in the wrong shade. Because there is no real point in throwing out a perfectly good product, I’ve researched a couple of reliable organizations that I can donate them to. Those links are down below if you guys want to do the same, I really encourage it!
*I want to stress the fact that I’m only donating items that are in good condition and still usable! Any of the bad products or products that have been heavily used will not be given away.*
