Maintaining Your Eyebrows Has Never Been Easier! | Beauty Tuesday

Hello Beauties!

I recently purchased the Nad’s Facial Wax Gel Kit because I’ve been so sick of plucking my eyebrows every week and still not getting all the hairs in one go. It’s frustrating and we’ve all been there. Eyebrow maintenance is tricky since there is high risk to experimenting with them. Thankfully I’ve been blessed with fast-growing bushy beasts, but that also means that I will most definitely be slaving away in front of the mirror for about 10 minutes trying to get them the way I want.

The alternatives are waxing or spending money to get them done, which I’d rather not do at the moment even though I’ve heard it’s a life changing experience. So if you are more of a “do it yourself” person like me, this waxing kit will be helpful to you!

Eyebrow Wax kit

Warm the wax tube in hot water in your bathroom sink while you use one of the cleansing towelettes to get all of that nasty dirt off of the hairs.

Eyebrow wax 2

Take the wand and twist the bottom slightly (like a 90’s lipgloss tube) so that only a small bit of wax bubbles at the tip. Then carefully drag the wax across the area you want, whether it be your lip, chin, or eyebrows. I find this the most painful step if the wax is not completely warm.

Eyebrow Waxing 3

Take one of the cloth strips in the packet and stroke it onto the wax. Then all you gotta do is muster the courage to rip that thing off and be free!

Finally, I always go back over with the same towelette from step 1 as to get all of the access wax off yo’ face! Then BAM! You’re beautifully hairless in the eyebrow region!

Stay tuned for another post Thursday and Friday! Also you can find my past post here as well! Until then…

Necessities for a Spa Day!

Hello Beauties!

DSC_0003 DSC_0004 DSC_0005 DSC_0006 It’s so important to treat yo’self and what is better than a quick, or long, spa day?! I’m going to show you all of my necessities for a good spa day, whether it’s 5 minutes before getting ready or spending a couple of hours at home, these products will make it great to relax. Find my previous beauty post HERE!

First: Clean Those Pores~ I LOVE Que Bella Face Masks. I found these at Target where you can get 1 packet for a dollar or get a tube for a little over $5! They work so well– I personally use their Replenishing Mud Mask all the time. It’s great for black heads and for cleaning out your pores, which is always a fun experience. Second:

Rest Your Eyes~ This is the type of relaxation product that you can use before putting on makeup, to take a quick break at work, or after a face mask. You can reuse these (just make sure they don’t break) and you can store them in the refrigerator to de-puff your eye-bags, or put them in warm water for 5 mins to replicate a hot cloth. Third:

Treat Your ToesIf you’ve got time, take a bath! If you don’t, treat your feet. I got this as a gift from my friend, but I promise you it works. I usually soak my feet with this, which is so, so relaxing. I don’t know much about this brand in particular, but any mineral soak will do!

Fourth: Lotion It UP!~ Right after a shower, mornings, nights, random times throughout the day. All of these are times when you could be helping your skin by using lotion! I especially like Aveeno’s Stress Relief lotion because it’s infused with chamomile and lavender, which is always an amazing combination of scents.

Drugstore Foundation Review!

Hello Beauties!

DSC_0045DSC_0041DSC_0046

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation: Yeah, this thing lasts over a FULL DAY! Or so it says, but why not trust packaging, right? 😉 I personally love it and the brand Rimmel London for practically all of my complexion needs. When needed I apply it everywhere and it really, really stays. I have danced for hours in this (as in ballet on stage) and it never faltered once. I usually use it as a concealer and apply it with a Beauty Blender, and it works pretty well for that. But I’d say it’s much better as a medium to full coverage foundation.

Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation: I haven’t used this foundation in a while, but I’d really like to! I also use this for dance performances, and even though I don’t agree with it as much as the Rimmel London one, it is definitely a full coverage foundation. Aesthetically, I love the packaging; it reminds me of a high-end Nars foundation. Plus, I’m a serious sucker for packaging. I’d love to try the Maybelline Fit Me! Dewy/Matte foundation line as well. It seems very promising…

NYX Super Matte But Not Flat Foundation: This is the first NYX foundation product I ever owned, and I’ve gotta say I was not impressed. NYX is known to be the high-end drugstore company, but this foundation did not apply well, did not matte, and did not wear well. It actually made me oilier than without the foundation. That might have been because my skin was so matted that it produced more oil to overcome the foundation? Whatever the reason, I’d be weary of this product. It says that it’s full coverage, but then it wears off throughout the day.

Maybelline Dream Liquid/Matte Mousse Foundation: I have used one completely up (the liquid) and one I barely touched (the jar). That’s not because it wasn’t good, it’s because it seriously matted my face! I obviously didn’t need as much coverage as I thought, but I gotta say that it’s very entertaining to just feel the whipped, bouncy foundation. The liquid I liked when I didn’t really have a lot of skin problems, so if you are someone who wants a light coverage, airy foundation, then this is the product for you!

Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Pressed Foundation: I didn’t think much of this product, or even this line, before I heard good things about this powder from a friend. I just buy mascara from Covergirl and nothing else. But I like this product as a really amazing powder over a foundation, or as a coverup for them attractive under-eye bags and what not. I think it would be a nice light coverage foundation, but like really, really light coverage.

What A Cool Kimono! | Fashion Friday

Featured: Blouse, Windsor; Shorts, thrift store; Kimono, Forever 21; Watch, Target

I decided to finally wear this kimono after buying it just for the purpose of working to pull it off, and I’m kinda pretty proud. Like, I think I did a good job.

When wearing such a statement piece like this, you need to make everything else more minimalistic, otherwise it can be a total overload. That’s why I stuck to a neutral, but flattering, black tank and a pair of high-waisted shorts. I also kept my makeup more minimalistic, and only wore a small amount of jewelry, which consisted of my favorite watch from Target ($10 guys… it’s amazing)!

The first thing that attracted me to this kimono was the pattern. I’m very much in love with bold colors and designs, and it incorporates non-Earthy tones with some more rustic shades very easily. I also really liked the slits on the sides; they just add a little bit more to the garment.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these kinds of coverups, whether they are light and thin or more weighted, the kimono is definitely making a rightful comeback.

Thanks for reading, and stay tuned every Tuesday and Thursday for videos, and then every Friday for anything fashion! Until next time…

Review of Simple Micellar Water! | Total Tuesday

Hello Beauties!

Since every other beauty blogger has been reviewing Simple Skincare’s Micellar Water, so why not go with the herd and test it out? This is also the second part of my favorite water-based skincare products review. If you want to watch see more of the review click here or go to my channel to see part 1 and part 2. Enjoy!

I would classify this cleanser/makeup remover/moisturizing solution as a drugstore dupe of a lot of the other micellar waters out there. This incredible water from the Heavens first originated in Europe where it was popularized by French models. Now, if I had any way of getting model-esque skin I would jump at the chance, but I was apprehensive about dropping a couple of 20s for it (that is 20 dollar bills btw). That’s when I saw that Simple Skincare put out their own micellar water and it is available in the U.S. And that’s where we are at right now!

I hope that you guys liked these past couple videos on these products! Stay tuned for more videos every Tuesday and Thursday, and a more detailed post every Friday! Until next time…
