Drugstore Foundation Review!

Hello Beauties!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation: Yeah, this thing lasts over a FULL DAY! Or so it says, but why not trust packaging, right? ūüėČ I personally love it and the brand Rimmel London for practically all of my complexion needs. When needed I apply it everywhere and it really, really stays. I have danced for hours in this (as in ballet on stage) and it never faltered¬†once.¬†I usually use it as a concealer and apply it with a Beauty Blender, and it works pretty well for that. But I’d say it’s much better as a medium to full coverage foundation.

Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation:¬†I haven’t used this foundation in a while, but I’d really like to! I also use this for dance performances, and even though I don’t agree with it as much as the Rimmel London one, it is definitely a¬†full coverage foundation.¬†Aesthetically, I love the packaging; it reminds me of a high-end Nars foundation. Plus, I’m a serious sucker for packaging. I’d love to try the Maybelline Fit Me! Dewy/Matte foundation line as well. It seems very promising…

NYX Super Matte But Not Flat Foundation:¬†This is the first NYX foundation product I ever owned, and I’ve gotta say I was not impressed. NYX is known to be the high-end drugstore company, but this foundation did not apply well, did not matte, and did not wear well. It actually made me oilier than without the foundation. That might have been because my skin was so matted that it produced more oil to overcome the foundation? Whatever the reason, I’d be weary of this product. It says that it’s full coverage, but then it wears off throughout the day.

Maybelline Dream Liquid/Matte Mousse Foundation:¬†I have used one completely up (the liquid) and one I barely touched (the jar). That’s not because it wasn’t good, it’s because it seriously matted my face! I obviously didn’t need as much coverage as I thought, but I gotta say that it’s very entertaining to just feel the whipped, bouncy foundation. The liquid I liked when I didn’t really have a lot of skin problems, so if you are someone who wants a light coverage, airy foundation, then this is the product for you!

Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Pressed Foundation:¬†I didn’t think much of this product, or even this line, before I heard good things about this powder from a friend. I just buy mascara from Covergirl and nothing else. But I like this product as a really amazing powder over a foundation, or as a coverup for them attractive under-eye bags and what not. I think it would be a nice light coverage foundation, but like really, really¬†light coverage.

Post Halloween Post!

Hello My Beauties!

Happy Belated Halloween everyone! Sorry that I was not able to actually post this on Halloween, I had a pretty exciting night. But all is well and I wanted to share some cool pictures/post my latest youtube video!

I dressed up as a Greaser this year, which was basically the best decision ever! I got my shirt, jacket, and faux leather pants from Forever 21, the shoes and earrings from Payless, the bandana headband from Claire’s, and the lipstick is Rimmel London’s Kate Moss lipstick in shade No. 10. It was all so much fun and I was able to enter the costume contest with my friend who was also a Greaser!

Then my friend Walker and I carved pumpkins together (watch the VIDEO!) and headed over to a small Halloween get together. Sadly we got in a car accident and Walker could not go to the party, everyone was okay though! No Worries! But I ended up going and having a lot of fun with some old friends and a lot of chocolate cake!

All-in-all I am really pleased by the holiday and I can’t wait for next year! Please comment below with your Halloween tales! I’d love to hear them ūüėČ

Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks,

Marin XO

One Last Time!

Hello my Beauties!
Before the Fall takes over and then slowly transforms into winter, I really want to post one last summer outfit. So, wherever you are, here’s hoping its going to be warm for a little bit longer!

Bull Head High Waisted Shorts
High Wasted Shorts HERE!

High waisted shorts are a must have. I can’t even imagine my life without them. You can seriously pair these babies with any kind of shirt; cropped, normal, buttoned, anything! I have paired them with this super soft tank that I got from a cute boutique at my near by mall.

Since I have discovered the Kate Moss lipstick line by Rimmel London I have been wearing a lot more lipstick in a lot of different colors. Whenever I am wearing an outfit that could use a little more pizzaz, I reach for a intense lip-lacquer to tie everything together and bring a little more attention to my face. I mean, who doesn’t want to catch someone’s eye¬†once and a while?!

Until Next Time,

Marin XO
