I have just recently finished my Chicago Haul video and I would love to share it with you all! I am so sorry that things have kinda been behind schedule, after getting back from this trip I had to make up a lot of stuff that I missed. But besides that, I hope you all enjoy!
After my last post I was very driven to get this post up ASAP! This is honestly my favorite outfit of the season. I can’t explain how much I love it! The dress is such a great touch for your wardrobe (I am a definite supporter for fall/winter dresses!) this autumn. This one is from Forever21 and has 3/4 length sleeves, which can’t exactly be seen underneath this very simple, grey cardigan from Old Navy. I brought up this sweater in my September Favorites video, but honestly I feel that everyone needs a good cardigan. And let me tell you, this is a GOOD CARDIGAN!
Next up are these super soft and warm tights from H&M. They are just plain black, but the special part about them is that they are lined with fleece as to keep your legs super warm and snuggly during the colder months! My Autumn staple has been, and always will be, adding a pair of wool socks to any outfit. It just looks cute, what can I say? I kept the accessories very minimal with only a gold bow bracelet also from Forever21.
For this week I am taking a slightly different approach and writing about some tweets that have recently popped up on my feed. There is a range guys, so don’t freak out. Just enjoy the commentary and feel free to click on the links!
There is so much debate going around this topic, and there has been for some time now. But I think that this article has one of THE BEST ideas/possibilities for a not-so-“sexy” Halloween. A warning, this is Vogue we are talking about. Not all of us can afford to spend $100 on a shirt. My advice? Just take the baseline message and transform it for your budget! No need to completely wreck your bank account for a costume! As for what your costume is, don’t worry about it! Whatever you decide to wear make sure that you are comfortable in it and don’t feel bad. Everyone has the right to wear whatever they want, whenever they want (with some exceptions)!
All I have been seeing on my feed are lipsticks! So, why not talk about them right? I don’t have an exact link for this topic, but I will include links to the brands mentioned. The latest news has been from @UrbanDecay. I have never really tried their products except for the occasional sample at Sephora (we have all been there). Apparently they have come out with a new line of lip-lacquers called Revolution. Check them out and tell me what you think in the comments!
I have seen these blending sponges all over but I have always been too intimidated to buy one, since I have absolutely no clue how to use them! Then I found this post on @BirchBox’s feed and all the worries went away. It’s a post on how to properly use a blending sponge, or more specifically, the uses of a Beauty Blender Sponge! I highly recommend checking this out and buying one for yourself! That’s what I will be doing, and as always I will make sure to keep you all updated on the topic!
So that is it for this week! Make sure to click on the links and definitely comment below with your opinions on them!
I am so super excited for this post since it rounds off the month of September and brings us into Fall, my favorite season! I will include the link to my Youtube video as well so definitely check that out!
1. Uniqlo Army Green Skinny Jeans- So adorable and a perfect staple item for the fall! They are also really durable and comfortable, which is soooo nice!
2. Old Navy Sweater- I love this button up and I insist that you all get on right NOW! They are so inexpensive, mine was $19, and they come in different colors as well!
3. Forever21 Autumn Dress- I can’t get enough of this dress! You can wear it with tights and boots or high socks and heels! I highly recommend a versatile dress for Fall since you never know what the weather is going to be like.
4. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick- So great and it really lasts while adding a nice shine to your lips!
5. Covergirl Lashblast Clump Crusher- I really love this mascara because it thickens and lengthens your lashes with a turn of the brush! Check out the video to see what I mean 😉
6. Covergirl Professional Super Thick Mascara- I just love this one overall. It’s very nice and doesn’t have a plastic applicator brush so the finished look is very classy!
7. NYX Eyebrow Pencil- This eyebrow pencil is so natural and very easy to apply.
8. Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation- This has always been a product that I have gone back to. It is very sheer and wears well so it is perfect for those good skin/relaxed days!
9. NYX Love in Paris Eyeshadow Pallet- I highly recommend this pallet, it is amazing for a cute, natural eye look.
10. Toni&Guy Cleansing Shampoo and Conditioner- I have just picked up this product and I really like it! I would honestly check this out. It is very light on the hair and makes it very smooth which I appreciate!
11. Kissing Bunny Ring Holder- This is just a really cute and creative way to store your rings! Plus, who doesn’t want little kissing bunnies, am I right?!
12. Glass Jewelry Box- Love love love this little box! It is so cute and simple and a really great way to keep your small necklaces or bracelets.
13. Allegiant- I have not read this book yet but I am very excited to! I have heard that it is not that great, but I got it this month and since I liked Divergent I really want to finish the story! Check out this series by Veronica Roth!
With the colder, fall weather approaching, this dress (or one like it) is a must have! Last year I was seriously into flare dresses with tight waists. This year I have gone in a completely different direction. Honestly though, whatever body shape or style you have, a loose dress is perfect for you! The that I am sporting in the photos is called an overall dress from Forever21, but you can get them anywhere! A list of possible stores will be included below.
I paired it with a super cute bowler hat from H&M to make it a little more quirky as well as play off the obvious black and white theme that is going on there! I also added huge, wooly socks (super great idea when it was 93 degrees out, good job Marin) with a pair of high-heel booties from DSW. They are so super cute and can be paired with anything in my closet! The bottoms have even worn out from how many times I’ve worn them 🙂
So decked out in this one! Tote: American Eagle; Glasses: NYC
