Inspiration From FarFetch.com!

Hello My Beauties!

So today we’re going to try something different, okay? Okay.

A little while ago I was approached by farfetch.com, and after researching the company I’ve learned that since its start in 2007, it has become one of the most successful high-fashion e-commerce site around. Cool, right? They have clothing from all over the world, including Paris, New York, Milan, and more! Not only do they have some of the big-name fashion brands, they also sell clothing from boutiques that is sent right to your door!

Now, I must admit that the products are on the pricier side, no lies here. But what did you expect, it’s high-fashion! That didn’t restrict me from putting together a few pieces, some being very unexpected, from their site! I think it’s always smart to get inspiration from high-fashion trends, and that is what I’ve done for you! So, without further a due, here is my FarFetch Inspiration Look! I hope you enjoy 🙂

THE OUTFIT

10888865_4292809_1000

I wanted this outfit to look like you were just lounging in your beach cottage, an Arnold-Palmer in your hand and the sound of the waves crashing behind you. In all honesty I just pictured myself at my family’s annual vacation spot in South Haven, Michigan, in the summer!

For this outfit I choose these pants by Cedric Charlier. I’ve been really into patterned straight-legged trousers, so these were BEYOND perfect for the look I wanted!

I then needed to find a nice, neutral, complimentary top that looked like you could just slip into it and relax, or even wear it as a coverup when necessary! Either way, this Alice and Olivia V-Neck T-Shirt fit the bill!

THE ACCESSORIES

After I put together the outfit, I wanted to find some simple accessories to go with it! That is when I found these beautiful Linda Farrow Sunglasses. I honestly can’t stop starring at them, they’re so amazing! I always support the vintage-eyewear look, and these most definitely deliver! I think they wrap up the whole vintage-beach vibe very nicely, don’t you?

I also found this very adorable Floral iPhone Case by Dolce & Gabbana, a gorgeous ‘Rosa Folia’ Candle by Diptyque, and THE perfect table book: Kelly Wearstler’s Valentino: Thirty Years of Magic as an added bonus!

January Interview Featuring Maeve

Hello My Beauties!

It’s been a while since I have written to you, and I have noticed that other bloggers are going through a small lull as well. I think this is like a little universal break that’s really needed. Back to the topic at hand, I want to introduce all of you to Maeve at Thrift O’Clock! She’s a super cute blogger, Youtuber, and this month’s interview star! Please enjoy and check her out!

Maeve: Hello, I’m Maeve! I’m an 18 year old girl from Northern Ireland and my blog is called Thrift O’Clock. I absolutely love thrifting and sharing my thrifty finds on my blog, whether that be fashion, beauty or otherwise. My little cat Mia is my favourite thing in the world alongside blogging.

Questions

Q: What/who inspired you to start blogging?
A: I started watching a few Youtubers & reading a few blogs and thinking, I’d like to do that! In the beginning I loved Becca Rose and Amarixe, and I’ve always looked up to the likes of The Sunday Girl for inspiration. I remember I’d just come back from a thrifting trip, the name Thrift O’Clock just sprung into my mind and I created my blog that night!
Q: What have you liked most that has come from your blog?
%22...be yourself and don't try to write-2
A: I think it has to be the confidence I’ve found through blogging and the fact I have a creative outlet of my very own. I’ve also made some lovely blogger friends which is a big positive!
Q: When you aren’t on your blog, what is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
A: Of course I love to shop, but I also love baking and creating art which are two things I’d really like to start incorporating on my blog!
Q: What is your favorite product that you’ve written about?
A: Difficult question! I loved talking about starting a MAC 15 Eyeshadow palette because it started a conversation in the comments where we discussed our eyeshadow recommendations. It was also brilliant to talk about my Personal Planner because it’s so handy and I was able to give one away to one of my readers!
whats in my mini bag 2
Q: And finally, what do you hope to accomplish in 2015, blog related or not?
A: I actually wrote about my blogging resolutions for the new year in a blog post! My own personal goals are to get a bit healthier, pass my A Levels and be happy!

My Little Post-Christmas Haul!

Hello My Beauties!

I hope you all doing well? Yes? That’s awesome! I’m excited to be getting back into my schedule and posting again! Miss y’all 🙂

I uploaded a Youtube video of my “small” Post-Christmas haul, check it out here! But why would I keep all of the fun from you studious blog readers? That would just be mean! So I took some photos of the items that I bought and got really excited about writing this post. Let’s do this, shall we?

STORES: Wet Seal, XXI Forever, Francesca’s, White Barn, and Aerie.

White Barn

I’ve never been inside of this place, but I really wanted to by candles for my (growing) collection! I’ve been really into scented ones lately and I thought that it would be nice to get a couple more for my room. After rummaging around Bath and Body Works for a while, I decided that I might find something in White Barn, the store attached to B&BW. At first I thought it was going to be really boring, but then I found these two that I really liked and they were INCREDIBLY cheap because of the sales going on!

Aerie

I always have to go to Aerie whenever I go to a mall that has the store! Since I have SO many of their bras I went for something different, like these party-penguin pajama bottoms! They are so soft and adorable, plus they have pockets! How could a girl refuse?!

I also bought one bra (oops!). I’ve really been loving these non-paded bralettes. They’re really comfortable and can be worn under anything. Plus, if they peek out from the sides of a shirt, they look stylish, so there aren’t any worries in that department!

Francesca’s

DSC_0023

I never go into Francesca’s. I’m not sure why, their clothes are just slightly more than I would like to spend and I subconsciously avoid it so that I don’t waste all of my money. But on this shopping trip I broke down and went straight for the clearance section, where I found this little gem that used to be $45, then was marked down to $25, which was then marked down to $15! Now that’s what I call smart shopping… or a miracle. It is slightly large, but the way that it drapes makes the size not really matter.

Wet Seal

DSC_0028

I also rarely go into Wet Seal, but the one in this mall seemed very different than the one we have here so my friend and I decided to go. Even though I only bought one thing (I only found one thing that I liked), it was also on clearance and I got it for $10! It really fits my style and I can’t wait till I get to wear it!

XXI Forever

Finally, we went to XXI Forever. I still don’t know the difference between Forever 21 and XXI Forever, so if you know COMMENT BELOW! Anyways, I bought two things, and reluctantly leaved behind five other items because of my lack of cash. In the end I chose a set of TWO rings (the middle pearl one slides out from the two bands) and I bought a more quirky cat pullover because who doesn’t want one of those?! It’s really soft and I think it will go with a lot of other things.

Well thank ya for reading, it’s been fun! Look out for my January Interview, I’m excited for it! Also give a big round of applause to my lovely model Lady who so graciously showed some of the tops for you since I was too lazy to do it myself!

This holiday season I had the amazing opportunity to work with Verbena, an adorable boutique in Ann Arbor! I purchased the dress with 10% off from the store and then I was able to borrow the handbag for the night. It was so much fun, and both the dress and the bag fit perfectly! I put this outfit together as a date night/dinner out/even holiday party outfit that’s really simple while having a more mature feel to it! On the other hand you can style the dress to be more party than dinner party. Add a chain bag for a little glam factor or a classy clutch to change things up! Either way you will definitely appreciate both pieces this season!

Also, you guys can get 10% off on these items and more! I absolutely love this store and everything that they have! Go to verbenaannarbor.com for more info and enjoy all of the things they have to offer!
