MY SEPTEMBER FAVORITES!

Hello My Beauties!

I am so super excited for this post since it rounds off the month of September and brings us into Fall, my favorite season! I will include the link to my Youtube video as well so definitely check that out!

1. Uniqlo Army Green Skinny Jeans- So adorable and a perfect staple item for the fall! They are also really durable and comfortable, which is soooo nice!

2. Old Navy Sweater- I love this button up and I insist that you all get on right NOW! They are so inexpensive, mine was $19, and they come in different colors as well!

3. Forever21 Autumn Dress- I can’t get enough of this dress! You can wear it with tights and boots or high socks and heels! I highly recommend a versatile dress for Fall since you never know what the weather is going to be like.

4. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick- So great and it really lasts while adding a nice shine to your lips!

5. Covergirl Lashblast Clump Crusher- I really love this mascara because it thickens and lengthens your lashes with a turn of the brush! Check out the video to see what I mean 😉

6. Covergirl Professional Super Thick Mascara- I just love this one overall. It’s very nice and doesn’t have a plastic applicator brush so the finished look is very classy!

7. NYX Eyebrow Pencil- This eyebrow pencil is so natural and very easy to apply.

8. Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation- This has always been a product that I have gone back to. It is very sheer and wears well so it is perfect for those good skin/relaxed days!

9. NYX Love in Paris Eyeshadow Pallet- I highly recommend this pallet, it is amazing for a cute, natural eye look.

10. Toni&Guy Cleansing Shampoo and Conditioner- I have just picked up this product and I really like it! I would honestly check this out. It is very light on the hair and makes it very smooth which I appreciate!

11. Kissing Bunny Ring Holder- This is just a really cute and creative way to store your rings! Plus, who doesn’t want little kissing bunnies, am I right?!

12. Glass Jewelry Box- Love love love this little box! It is so cute and simple and a really great way to keep your small necklaces or bracelets.

13. Allegiant- I have not read this book yet but I am very excited to! I have heard that it is not that great, but I got it this month and since I liked Divergent I really want to finish the story! Check out this series by Veronica Roth!

One Last Time!

Hello my Beauties!
Before the Fall takes over and then slowly transforms into winter, I really want to post one last summer outfit. So, wherever you are, here’s hoping its going to be warm for a little bit longer!

Bull Head High Waisted Shorts
High Wasted Shorts HERE!

High waisted shorts are a must have. I can’t even imagine my life without them. You can seriously pair these babies with any kind of shirt; cropped, normal, buttoned, anything! I have paired them with this super soft tank that I got from a cute boutique at my near by mall.

Since I have discovered the Kate Moss lipstick line by Rimmel London I have been wearing a lot more lipstick in a lot of different colors. Whenever I am wearing an outfit that could use a little more pizzaz, I reach for a intense lip-lacquer to tie everything together and bring a little more attention to my face. I mean, who doesn’t want to catch someone’s eye once and a while?!

Until Next Time,

My Makeup Favorites!

Hello You Beautiful People!

Today I am collaborating with my friend Evelyn who runs the blog IndiaLynRose, which is a great blog filled with reviews, recommendations, and interviews! Definitely check her out, she is a super cool person with a really awesome blog!

Anyways, to back to the point, I am going to be reviewing my favorite makeup pieces that I don’t think I will ever stop using! So let’s dive right in!

IMG_1772First off is foundation! Now I have searched long and hard to find a good foundation that will work with my combination skin type. I don’t break out so much as I get really shiny around the T-zone and have slight inflammation around my nose that can

be quite bothersome. Personally, I have always liked sporting a more natural look, so I really don’t like it when you can see creases or the foundation becomes dry and caked in places. This is not to say that I don’t like full coverage products, I just don’t like the downsides to them. So while in the beauty aisle in Target, I was trying to decide between Maybelline Fit Me or Revlon ColorStay foundation (both of which would probably be slightly too much coverage) when I came across the Rimmel London section. Now, I love Rimmel’s powder (will be mentioned later on) and I am practically a walking advertisement for their Kate Moss Lipstick line, so when I saw this little tube of foundation claiming to last 25 hours, I just threw caution to the wind.

Turns out that this stuff is absolutely AMAZING! It totally soaks up the oil on my face without becoming dry or cracked and delivers completely natural coverage that ACTUALLY LASTS! A downside is that it does feel slightly sticky on, but a plus to that is that it practically grabs onto powder makeup, like blush and coverup, and helps them last as well! When applying you don’t need to use a lot. I just use my fingers to apply and it is very simple, in other words a little goes a long way! I would recommend this product if you have skin like me or want something slightly more natural for school.

Next is powder! Even though I practically always use powder, I am not so dedicated to finding the perfect fit for me. Then I

watched a video by Zoella (my favorite!) and she recommended the Rimmel London Stay Matte Finish powder. So I decided to experiment a little bit and now I love it! It does not stay on for a super long time, but it can hold me through the day. Plus, it is very sheer and natural so I don’t look like I have a ton of layers on after I have applied my foundation. I am very happy with the Rimmel foundation and powder together since they compliment each other and are very easy to wear. I would definitely recommend buying this product if you are looking for a natural look or just a sheer powder to balance out a full-coverage foundation.

The next favorite is Concealer! I was never very knowledge in the world of concealers until I watched a couple of videos by

Zoella and became interested. The first one I ever bought was NYX HD Concealer, which I really, really like. It ran out fairly quickly but that is okay since it is not that expensive. I have tried one other since, the Mabelline Fit Me Concealer, but it did not achieve the level of coverage I was looking for. So I have gone back to this fav and I can’t be happier! I would definitely recommend buying this if you are looking for an even coverage, slightly dry concealer that lasts a long time and isn’t very expensive.

Next is blush! I absolutely love this blush, so much so that I have it in a couple of different shades! It is L’oreal True Match and is absolutely perfect for a light flush of color. I have also found that it can be fairly vibrant when you layer it or when I wear it with the aforementioned Rimmel foundation. It is just a very light and blend able blush that lasts. I would by this is you are looking for a soft, natural, or even a slightly more vibrant look with long-lasting coverage and reliable benefits.

Now we have the eyeshadow! I honestly can not live without my Wet n’ Wild eyeshadow pallet. It applies so easily and

effortlessly, and comes in a lot of cool colors! I usually use the bottom pink on my lid when I am just feeling casual or going for a very simple look. Anyways, the colors look very good on and you do not need to apply a lot since they are very pigmented. I am definitely going to buy more in different shades since I just can’t get enough of them! I would recommend buying this eyeshadow if you are looking to achieve an everyday look or even a natural smokey-eye.

On to the eyeliner! So my all-time favorite natural cream eyeliner is by Maybelline, and it is amazing! It is in a nice copper that stands out and delivers a very natural, effortless look. I like to switch off between this and just using eyeshadow as an eyeliner, but if I am feeling more classic I will use my Rimmel London Special Eye Liner pencil. This is not my all time favorite, but I do like it when I am in the mood to do something more bold and can take the time to neatly apply eyeliner. In the end I really recommend you guys checking these two items out, they are both very good and really well made.

Next is mascara! This mascara by Covergirl is the absolute best! I love that it doesn’t

clump at all or harm my lashes like other brands have done. It is a perfect “base mascara”, as I like to call it, because it separates each lash, making it perfect to finish off with a lengthening mascara. That is what I usually do when I want darker, more full lashes. I definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone looking for a practical mascara with great results!

And last, but not least, the best lipstick anyone could ever buy… Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick! Literally, don’t get me started. Too late, I have started. You guys will not BELIEVE the amount of compliments I have gotten on this lipstick. Seriously, this thing is non-stop amazing! I will never part with them ever! I have tried so many different kinds and never found ONE that compares to this product. I do really like the higher-end lipsticks like Mac and Chanel, but this is the God of all lipsticks, and I follow it religiously! Please, Please, Please buy or at least look at them! I have gone through meals with it on and it stays beautifully! I can not stress enough how much I adore this product! With so many colors to choose from and the option of having either matte or gloss, you cannot go wrong!

Target Beauty Haul

So I went to the local Target and I ended up getting some makeup products that I have tried and will now review for you guys! Some of these items I really like and others did not work out for me, either because of the shade or that particular product. But I promise to be completely honest in my reviews of each item as well as provide alternative products for the ones I did not like. Thank you for reading and enjoy!

Comb: So, funny story, I went to my friend’s family’s lake house and I left my favorite comb and hair brush there so that is why I bought this. My old one was also a Conair brush, though it was a slightly different style. I still like this one though, it is kinda cheaper than my other one but I like that it is a combination of wide and normal teeth.

Brush: Also left my hair brush at the house so I bought this brush. I was heavily debating on buying the new Wet Brush but I decided to go slightly safer and get another Conair since I don’t know a lot about it. This is actually a really nice one too! It is very light weight and leaves my hair feeling super smooth without making it too frizzy. I have curly, thick, layered hair that frizzes very easily and is prone to breakage so I usually comb it out, but I always appreciate a good brush.

e.l.f Brushes: I got a concealer brush and an eyeshadow brush. I only buy select items from e.l.f, mainly because I have a lot of favorite makeup brands that I don’t stray from but also because I am slightly skeptical of the quality of the makeup. I do have friends that stand by the brand religiously, but I personally do not buy a whole lot. I do have a couple of brushes though and they work fairly well. My favorite makeup tool company is Real Techniques, but I appreciate that I can get an eyeshadow brush for $3. The concealer brush worked fairly well but it would not be my first choice. The eyeshadow brush on the other hand is very helpful!

e.l.f Eyeshadow: I do not really like this eyeshadow. I like that it is very pigmented, but it crumbles very easily and is slightly messy to apply. I like that each color has a different purpose (base, crease, lid, etc). I personally really like Wet n’ Wild eyeshadow trio which is basically the same thing but very easy to apply.

e.l.f Tinted Moisturizer: I have gotten this before but it was a long time ago so I decided to try it again and see if I like it. It is a tinted moisturizer so it does not do a whole lot other than moisturize, but I like it as a “replacement foundation” on days when I am not going anywhere or doing simple errands. I always use my concealer with it since it does not have good coverage, it just slightly corrects the skin tone.

Maybelline Concealer: My friend had a bottle of FIT ME foundation by Maybelline and she gave it to me because it was slightly too dark for her, so I decided to get the concealer to match. The color was 115 and the concealer was 15, which turned out to be too light for me. Anyways I really liked this concealer! I already have a favorite one by NYX that I like slightly more, mostly because it is very easy to blend and works well with my skin type. I did notice that this one did not wear as well and needed to be applied multiple times in order to get the same coverage as my favorite concealer.

EOs Hand Lotion:  I just picked this up for a dollar at the checkout counter! I have always wanted to try their lotions since I had tried (and loved) their little egg lip balm. The scent is Berry Blossom and it feels very nice! I keep it in my purse if I ever need a quick dryness fix or want to smell slightly sweet!

Until Next Time,

Marin S.
