My Relaxation Day

Hello My Beauties!

So this is long overdue (what can you do?), but after finals my friend Grace and I had a relaxation day filled with foot soaking, face masks, and an AMAZING sexy serial-killer. I made sure to take as many photos as possible, but honestly it was mostly us glued to the TV screen 🙂 I hope that you enjoy my loves!

The Beginning

We started off the day with all of our necessary items. These included soft blankets, good books, and lip balm! Honestly what else do you need?

Breakfast Time!

Next we ate a balanced (sorta… not really) breakfast while we cozied up on the couch! I had two slices of toast with raspberry jelly, a blueberry greek yogurt cup, and some raspberries. I can’t lie it was really, really good! And also probably one of the most put together meals I’ve ever had.

The Middle

We read that lemon water is perfect for a day of detoxing, so we practically filled my water pitcher with sliced lemons! I personally love this small trick! It made me feel very refreshed, and I drank a lot more water than I normally do. This is also a great trick if your water has a funky taste due to different minerals in your pipes!

Next to the fantabulous water we had a couple of Fiber One bars, some nail polish and lip balm, and finally Grace’s awesome sugar scrub/foot-soak-oil-stuff (it’s homemade)! We also had The Fall on in the background, which you guys should really watch if you like sexy Irish serial killers.

The Foot Bath

Then we went on to soaking our feet with two teaspoons of the sugar scrub in each bowl. It took a while to get the water to be just the right temperature, but it was totally worth it! While our feet were being pampered, we sipped cups of chamomile tea and continued to binge-watch The Fall. Really guys, you gotta watch it.

Face Mask Time

We then went onto creating our homemade face mask. Both of us have been suffering with some not-enjoyable acne as of late, so we chose an egg white, honey, and lemon juice mask. For this you need 1 egg white, 1/2 teaspoon honey, and some lemon juice. Not a lot, but some. We used half a lemon for this batch, so if you are just making it for one person then use 1/4  or 1 teaspoon. We then applied the mask with an E.L.F foundation brush and washed it off after 15 minutes. Afterwards my skin was so much smoother and my pimples were not as red as before!

Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks,

Marin XO
